However, I am sure you have never heard of matcha tea with milk, a recipe very similar to regular milk tea. This is a simple recipe that does not require many ingredients; to prepare it, we will need:

  • 2 cup evaporated milk
  • 3 tablespoons of sugar
  • 2 matcha tea
  • 3 egg yolks

Preparation step by step

We heated the saucepan over low heat, poured the evaporated milk, added sugar and tea, and stirred.

The egg yolks were added and stirred for at least 10 min until they had a thicker texture.

Using a blender or grinder to mix everything well, pour it into a bowl, and wait for it to cool; you can serve the tea in cups and garnish with matcha on top.

  • There are several ways to make matcha cream more frothy and flavorful, although a few ingredients are needed.
  • One cup of cream can be added owing to its high fat content, which makes the tea thicker.
  • Cream cheese provides texture and a unique flavor to tea.
  • There is a version of this recipe that uses the whole egg, just beat it until stiff, and then add the prepared tea.
  • If you do not want to use sugar, you can use honey or syrup.
