1. High cholesterol levels

Cheese is one of the foods high in saturated fat. Saturated fats and trans fats raise cholesterol. The Mayo Clinic notes that reducing your intake of saturated fat can lower low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, the “bad” cholesterol.

2. Hypertension

Many cheeses can be loaded with sodium. Sodium is one thing that can be a problem for people with high blood pressure.

For people with high blood pressure, the American Heart Association (AHA) recommends an ideal limit of no more than 1,500 mg of sodium per day. Half a teaspoon of salt equals 1,150 mg of sodium.

3. Milk allergy

People with a milk allergy should avoid dairy products, including cheese. The Mayo Clinic notes that although cow’s milk is the usual cause of milk allergy, milk from sheep, goats, buffalo and other mammals can also cause a reaction.

Milk allergy can cause anaphylaxis, a serious, life-threatening reaction.

4. Lactose intolerance

Lactose is the main sugar in milk. People with lactose intolerance who consume milk or milk derivatives may experience abdominal cramps, bloating, and loose stools.

Lactose intolerant people do not have to give up cheese completely, there are some cheeses made without lactose or to which techniques are applied to eliminate it.

5. Constipation

6. Overweight
