CNN Poll Reveals Disapproval of Joe Biden’s Performance

A recent poll by CNN has shown that 61% of Americans disapprove of President Joe Biden’s performance. These figures come at a pivotal time, just over a year ahead of the 2024 elections.
According to the news outlet The Hill, Biden’s approval rating has seen a decline, now standing at 39%. This marks a 6-point drop compared to the rating CNN recorded earlier in the year, which was 45%.
Another intriguing finding from the survey is the favorable perception towards Nikki Haley, former South Carolina governor and presidential hopeful. The poll, conducted by SSRS, indicates that Haley leads Biden with 49% to his 43%. However, other major Republican contenders remain neck and neck with the president.
Haley, who served as the United Nations ambassador under the Trump administration, aims to capitalize on her performance in the recent Republican presidential debate. Despite these favorable figures, The Hill points out that Haley still lags behind Trump in Republican primary polls.
Majority of Americans Disapprove of Joe Biden, Poll Suggests
CNN’s survey suggests that Haley might be a stronger Republican contender against Biden in the general elections. This could be a talking point for her as she campaigns in key states like Iowa and New Hampshire.
However, this isn’t the only recent poll casting Biden in a negative light. A survey from The Wall Street Journal reveals that 73% of registered voters believe Biden is “too old” to run for the presidency, describing this statement as “very accurate” or “somewhat accurate”.
