Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis may be preparing to run for president, according to information from two close associates, The Washington Post reported.

The Political Action Committee (PAC) includes DeSantis for the 2024 presidential race. DeSantis will also visit Iowa and Nevada on the weekend to promote his memoir.

Both states are considered “early states” in presidential elections, as they hold their caucuses in the presidential nominating process.

This would make it clear that DeSantis is preparing a campaign for the 2024 presidential, although no public announcement has yet been made.

Information about the candidacy was provided by people close to the governor, who assured that the governor had expressed his plans for the presidential elections.

The PAC that was recently created is formed by Ken Cuccinelli and Chris Jankowski, and is called “Never Back Down.”

Cuccinelli is known to be in charge of the country’s citizenship and immigration services as an acting director during Trump’s term.

Jankowski is known to be a veteran and former Republican state leadership committee official.

Likewise, PACs are organizations that raise funds to influence politics and elections in the country.

Representatives for Governor DeSantis declined to comment on the PAC and did not answer questions; Cuccinelli and Jankowski also declined to give statements, according to The Washington Post report.
