DeSantis unhurt after car accident in Tennessee

Ron DeSantis’ campaign team reported that the governor was unhurt in a car accident Tuesday.

“We appreciate the prayers and well wishes,” commented Bryan Griffin, the spokesman for the also Republican primary candidate.

DeSantis was on his way to a campaign event in the city of Chattanooga when he had the accident, with the objective of meeting with fund donors.

The Florida governor is second in voting intentions for Republican primaries in 2024.

A national poll showed that although DeSantis was a favorite, he was far behind his Republican counterpart Donald Trump, who had a 52% voting intention.

According to Harvard Harris Poll, DeSantis was 40 points behind the former president and only two points ahead of Vivek Ramaswamy.
