President Joe Biden reported Monday that he plans to run for president in the 2024 presidential election, although he explained that he was not ready to announce it.
“I plan to run … but we’re not ready to announce it yet,” Biden said in an interview with NBC’s “Today” show before the Easter Egg Roll held at the White House.
Biden indicated that he intended to become the Democratic Party’s nominee in 2024; however, he did not make an official announcement.
Vice President Kamala Harris also stated that she would run with Biden again, according to Reuters.
Top White House aides are also ready to begin decisions on Biden’s election campaign, according to NBC News.
“The decision part is over, but he resents the pressure of having to announce what he has already decided,” a source familiar with the matter told NBC.
