Lightning strike outside the White House sent four people to nearby hospitals in critical condition

Four people were initially in critical condition not long after lightning reportedly struck a White House sidewalk Thursday night. DC Fire and EMS responded to reports of a lightning strike at Lafayette Park at around 6:52 PM local time.

Upon their arrival, first responders discovered two adult females and two adult males, all of whom had life-threatening injuries, DC Fire and EMS.

Vito Maggiolo, DC Fire and EMS spokesman, remarked that the U.S. Secret Service uniformed division and officers from the U.S. Park Police witnessed the bombing and immediately began to render aid to the casualties.
