Man finds $2000 in Walmart cart and returns it to owner

A man found an envelope containing 2000 dollars in an Ohio Walmart cart, and the money had been forgotten by a person.

Fortunately, the man who found the money did not hesitate to return it to its rightful owner and did the right thing.

“I’d like to think that, if something like that ever happened to me, someone would do the same for me,” Robert Sneed said, according to WSAZ.

According to Sneed, he found money while shopping with his daughter when they noticed something odd in the shopping cart.

“I saw a piece of paper and thought it was someone’s shopping list. I was getting ready to throw it away until it felt a little heavy, and I noticed it was an envelope,” Sneed said.

The man commented that when he opened the envelope, he realized that it was filled with several $100 bills.

“I saw a bank statement and my first thought was to take it to the bank, but they were closed. So, I just went to a manager,” he says.

Sneed proceeded to find a manager to return the money so that they could contact the owner, and he also posted on social media about the find.

“For someone who lives paycheck to paycheck, this can be a backlog. It can really ruin someone’s summer,” said Sneed.

Walmart later announced that the money had already been returned to the owner.
