Messi’s Dream Debut: A Historic Victory for Inter Miami

Messi finally had his debut with Inter Miami in a unique event that had major media from around the world watching.

Many of entertainment’s most recognized celebrities, such as Kim Kardashian, LeBron James, Serena Williams, who witnessed Messi’s incredible debut at DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Leo Messi had a dream debut with Inter Miami, being the protagonist of scoring the goal that defined the course of the game and gave them a 2-1 victory against Cruz Azul of Mexico in the League Cup.

Not only were sports legends and national television stars in attendance, but several music stars also showed up for the game, including Becky G, who was in charge of singing the national anthem prior to the match.

Thousands of fans turned out for Messi’s debut

The Argentine star’s largest fans had to wait in long lines to buy the player’s iconic jersey, even with a price tag of $184.99.

“Every person who goes through the checkout takes one or two. It is the bestseller today, along with the Leagues Cup commemorative scarf, which is also selling at a good pace.” One saleswoman commented on the EFE News Agency.

The club also had to be quick and increase the number of extra stands in order to have more capacity in the stadium due to demand.

The press did not want to miss the moment

Inter Miami also told EFE that they received more than 500 requests from the press to be at the event, although they were only able to approve about 200.

Media from Mexico also closely followed the Cruz Azul team, as did international media from Argentina, Belgium, Canada, Spain, etc…

Many journalists had to relocate to other areas of the stadium, as there was not enough space in the press box.
