New York grand jury voted to criminally indict former President Donald Trump

A New York Jury voted to formally indict the former president to pay hush money to a porn star.
Information provided by the New York Times suggests that Trump’s 2024 presidential run could be in trouble, as he would become the country’s first former president to face criminal charges.
The indictment filed by the Manhattan district attorney is likely to be announced in the coming days.
Likewise, the New York Times also reported that Trump avoided criminal charges despite repeated scrutiny and investigations, causing an aura of legal invincibility that the vote now threatens.
Trump had previously said last Tuesday he could have been arrested, which is why he asked his supporters to take to the streets.
The former president was also investigating issues stemming from the defeat of his 2020 election.
On Monday, members of the New York grand jury summoned David Pecker, the former owner of The National Enquirer, for the second time to testify about the payment of $130,000 to actress Stormy Daniels in exchange for her silence about a relationship.
Donald Trump has denied affairs with the star, who had tried to sell her story of a tryst with Trump during the campaign.
