R’Bonney Gabriel crowned as the new Miss Universe
After a tense night at Miss Universe, American R’Bonney Gabriel was crowned as the 71st Miss Universe winner, becoming the most beautiful woman in the world.
The event was held at the Ernest N. Moral Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, where more than 90 candidates from around the world battled for the crown.
The pageant lasted approximately two weeks, where the representatives of their countries had a competition of dresses, rehearsals and orientations.
Who is R’Bonney Gabriel the new Miss Universe winner?
The United States representative for the 71st edition of Miss Universe, R’Bonney Gabriel is a fashion designer, who defines herself as environmentally friendly and passionate about life.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in fashion design from the University of North Texas and is currently the head of her own sustainable clothing line, R’Bonney Nola.
She is the first Filipino-American to be chosen to represent the United States, she claims to share the importance of her culture and to be the voice of Asian-Americans and diversity within society.
