Trailer with 42,000 pounds of chicken caught fire on Texas highway

A trailer carrying 42,000 pounds of frozen chicken caught fire Wednesday on a highway in Dallas, Texas.

According to law enforcement sources, the truck’s brakes overheated, causing the fire, the driver immediately disconnected the truck from the trailer, Fox4 reported.

Video posted on Twitter showed the smoke that caused the fire and how police officers responded.

The driver was carrying the goods from Arkansas heading to California.

Kentucky’s authorities were also coming to the aid of a barge carrying 1,400 tons of toxic ethanol that broke loose from a tugboat last Tuesday and plunged into the Ohio River after crashing.

Officials said the U.S. Coast Guard is investigating the incident.
