How to Determine if Someone Blocked You on WhatsApp

Perhaps there have been times when you’ve sent a WhatsApp message to one of your contacts, and so far, you’ve received no response. Even worse, they’ve left you on “read” without any apparent reason.
One potential reason for this is that the recipient of your WhatsApp messages might have blocked you, specifically to avoid communicating with you, without having to directly tell you or offend you.
Blocked on WhatsApp? Here’s How to Find Out
One of the initial signs to determine if someone has blocked you on the messaging app is that you won’t be able to see their photos, statuses, last seen timestamp, among other profile details.
However, there’s a simpler way to get a full list of users who might have blocked you on WhatsApp, as outlined below:
- Open WhatsApp and head to the “Settings” option, or click on your profile picture.
- Navigate to the “Broadcast Lists” option. In this section, select the people who appear without a profile picture, as they are likely the ones who have blocked you.
- Send a message to this group. If the message is sent, it means that person still has you added. But if there’s no indication of the message being delivered, it signifies that the user has definitively blocked you.
