Largest artificial lagoon in the country is inaugurated in Florida

Tampa Bay enjoyed the opening of Mirada Lagoon, one of the largest man-made bodies of water in the United States.

The man-made lagoon is located in the Mirada community of San Antonio, Florida, and features a waterslide, playground, kayak rentals, sandy shorelines, cabanas, obstacle courses, and paddleboarding.

According to the Tampa Bay Times, the lagoon opened to the community in late May and is now open to the public, who can purchase tickets for a day at a tourist attraction through the MetroLagoons website.

Ticket prices depend on the date and time the attraction is visited, although full-day passes can range from $15 to $30 for children $20 to $45 for adults.

Kayaking and obstacle course activities were purchased as add-ons.
