These are the 10 Most Dangerous Beaches in Florida

Florida’s beaches are known worldwide as some of the best beaches for vacationing in the United States, however, there are some beaches that are ranked among the most dangerous in the country.

According to a study by travel company Travel Lens, there are some surfing areas and beaches where fatalities have occurred due to weather conditions or shark attacks.

Travel Lens found that 10 of the most dangerous beaches in the country are in Florida.

The beach at the top of the list is New Smyrna Beach, which according to the analysis, there were a total of 32 shark attacks, more than any other beach.

For second and third place are Cocoa Beach and Ormond Beach respectively, due to shark attacks in surfing areas.

New Smyrna Beach, Florida (8.14 dangerous).

  6. Jacksonville Beach, Florida (danger score 6.02)
  7. Oak Island, North Carolina (danger score 5.54)
  8. Gulf Shores, Alabama (danger score 5.38)
  9. Fort Lauderdale, Florida (danger score 5.37)

Therefore, the American Red Cross recommended only swimming in supervised areas where lifeguards are present and always swim in the company of another person, in addition to checking the weather forecast before entering the sea.
